Steve Ahn    Partner

Steve is a US attorney and he focuses his practice on representing foreign companies on investments and operations in Korea as well as Korean companies on outbound transactions. Steve is a key member of SEUM’s startups and venture capital practice and blockchain team. He counsels foreign companies and entrepreneurs on various issues in Korea and also advises Korean companies on their expansion into overseas markets. Prior to joining SEUM, Steve served as the Chief Legal Officer and Head of Korea for the startup incubator TriBeluga. Before TriBeluga, Steve worked at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC where he represented MNCs and private equity funds on a wide range of legal matters including investments, commercial contracts, employment matters and data privacy.

Represented Affinity Equity Partners in its acquisition of a majority stake in a Korean record label Loen Entertainment
Represented MKS Instruments, a NASDAQ-traded company, in its acquisition of a Korean plasma-etching manufacturer
Represented General Electric’s healthcare division in its acquisition of the mammography business of Rayence
Represented Autoliv in its acquisition of Delphi Korea’s seatbelt and airbag business

Represented Korea Post in its acquisition of 161 N. Clark tower, a 49-story trophy quality office in downtown Chicago
Represented Homeplus (former Korean subsidiary of Tesco) in connection with its sale and leaseback of eight hypermarket sites
Represented New Songdo International City LLC in connection with the establishment of Chadwick International School and Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Songdo
