SEUM advised Channel Corp., operator of all-in-one business messenger Channel.io, in its Series C funding round valued at KRW 28 billion, which included investments from distinguished VC and PE funds in Korea, including Atinum Investment, KB Investment, Pavilion Capital, and IMM Investment.

Channel Corp. operating the B2B SaaS Channel.io service has been selected by approximately 50,800 domestic and foreign companies, which provides an all-in-one business messenger solution that combines a chatbot chat service, marketing tool, and team messenger. Upon the introduction of its service for businesses where high efficiency is required in an environment without face-to-face communication, Channel Corp. has consolidated its position as an essential business platform, which boasts a service retention rate of 98.1%.

Pavilion Capital, which participated in this investment, is a subsidiary of Temasek, the world’s largest state-owned investment company, which includes companies such as Airbnb, Alibaba, and Tencent in its international portfolio. Pavilion Capital’s participation in this round can be interpreted as its recognition of Channel Corp.’s high likelihood to develop into a global service.

As a long-time partner of Channel Corp. in its development since incorporation, SEUM’s advisory services throughout the overall transaction allowed Channel Corp. to smoothly consummate its Series C investment round.
