SEUM advised Kakao Mobility, a comprehensive mobility platform company, on its KRW 43.9 billion acquisition of a stake in K-Drive, a designated driver service provider.

In December 2025, SEUM provided legal advisory services to Kakao Mobility Corp. ("Kakao Mobility"), a comprehensive mobility platform company, in connection with its acquisition of a KRW 43.9 billion stake in K-Drive Co., Ltd. ("K-Drive"), a designated driver service provider.

Kakao Mobility acquired 6.04 million shares of K-Drive previously held by its affiliate CMNP, for a total acquisition price of KRW 43.9 billion, bringing K-Drive under its full ownership. Through this acquisition, Kakao Mobility's stake in K-Drive reached 100%, a move seen as part of a strategic reorganization of its business portfolio.

K-Drive was established in August 2021 as a joint venture between Kakao Mobility and Korea Drive, operator of the "1577 Designated Driver" service. In addition to its designated driver service, K-Drive operates delivery services, including same-day and express delivery of goods. Kakao Mobility, which operates the comprehensive mobility platform "Kakao T," is seen as having strengthened business synergies by bringing K-Drive under full ownership, while establishing a structure that allows each entity to focus more closely on its core business.

Drawing on its deep understanding of the mobility and platform industries and extensive experience in M&A advisory, SEUM provided tailored legal services to ensure the entire equity acquisition process proceeded smoothly.
