SEUM Advises EdTech Startup CatchItPlay in KRW 3.5 Billion Funding Round

SEUM advised CatchItPlay, Inc., an educational technology startup established in 2016, in its KRW 3.5 billion Series A financing, which included investments from Korea Development Bank, SV Investment and Hanwha Investment & Securities.  

CatchItPlay was founded by experts in the gaming and education sectors with experience in Korea and abroad at companies including Nexon, NCSoft and Daekyo. Shortly after its establishment, CatchItPlay was quickly recognized for its potential and was selected by Jeju Technopark to represent Jeju Island. 

CatchItPlay’s current service offering includes Catch It! English and Catch It! Korean, which combine elements of gaming in teaching language. The app was recognized as one of “Google Play’s Best Apps of 2015” and “Google Editors’ Choice of 2017” and achieved an accumulated 4.6/5 user rating.
