SEUM successfully represented a client in obtaining a damages award from a Korean court in a design infringement lawsuit.  

SEUM’s client, a leading Korean cosmetic company, sought an injunction and damages against certain manufacturers, distributors and sellers for distributing imitation cosmetics products using the client’s designs in Korea and abroad. SEUM successfully obtained an injunction and subsequently obtained a damages award for the client for violations of the Unfair Competition Prevention and Trade Secret Protection Act and the Design Protection Act.
