SEUM Advises AI Sensor Startup StradVision on KRW 8 Billion Funding

SEUM advised AI object recognition startup StradVision with respect to the sale of new shares to Hyundai Mobis, which closed around May 2018.  Hyundai Mobis invested KRW 8 billion for a 10.5% stake in StradVision in order to expand into the field of self-driving systems.

StradVision provides vision-based technology and software that enables vehicles to identify and navigate objects.  Utilizing deep-learning detection technology and high-efficiency algorithms optimized for vehicles, Stradvision’s software can read the movement patterns of vehicles and postures of pedestrians to make predictions about the movement of objects.

Hyundai Mobis, one of the leading global automotive suppliers, produces parts and provides services for South Korean automakers Hyundai Motor Company, Genesis Motors and Kia Motors. This investment represents Hyundai’s continued investment in autonomous driving technology and artificial intelligence.

The SEUM team was comprised of corporate partners Hoseok Jung and Steve Ahn, as well as associates Hyunsub Lee, Jaewoo Sim and Daniel Chong.
