In August 2020, SEUM advised HITE JINRO CO., LTD. (“Hite”) in its investment in TablewithLife Inc. (“TablewithLife”) a food startup company.

After being appointed as a corporate angel investor early this year, Hite has actively invested in various startups in the lifestyle industry since May, including AppaCompany, LEEDEYEON, and DevHead. Hite revealed that it chose TablewithLife for its fourth investment this year because of the high marketability of TablewithLife’s platform ‘Permeal’.

Through its Permeal platform, TablewithLife has been growing its produce network by securing and distributing high-quality fresh food through direct sales in over 170 production regions nationwide and securing 66 exclusive cooperative partners and 20 types of exclusively contracted produce items. In August, TablewithLife sold 2 million ears of super sweet corn, which had become a popular summer food (see relevant news article here), achieving unrivaled performance in food commerce reflecting the diverse needs and lifestyles of consumers. 

SEUM, as the legal partner of Hite since its investment in AppaCompany, provided Hite with the legal advice necessary for an overall smooth completion of its current investment in TablewithLife.
