On Thursday, July 13, 2023, SEUM Law (“SEUM”) successfully participated in the “2023 M&A Conference” hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and its 11 M&A Support Centers, which included SEUM(Link).

This event was held to vitalize mergers and acquisition in domestic SMEs and venture companies, and to provide information relating to M&A for such SMEs and venture companies, as well as promote the search for potential M&As through networking. Nearly 300 persons attended the conference, including SEUM, SMEs and venture companies seeking to participate in M&As, listed companies with demand for M&A and investment, large and middle market enterprises, M&A advisory groups, and venture capital firms.

The event consisted of three main programs – M&A policy panel discussion, announcement of successful caes in M&A, and special lectures in M&A. SEUM operated a legal consultation booth at the event, which was met with high level of interest from 43 different companies requesting consultations in advance, and provided counseling and mentorship to such applicants(Link).

Upon being designated as a M&A support center by the Ministry of SME3s and Startups in 2021, SEUM has been actively participating in the M&A sphere, which includes publishing many different policies and issues relating to M&A, and hosting seminars. SEUM will continue to make multifold efforts to assist SMEs, venture companies, and startups to actively engage in mergers and acquisitions.
