SEUM Law (“SEUM”) held its eleventh anniversary celebration event on Friday July 21, titled ‘SEUM, RE-START! (Sub-title: Back to Year 1). While this was the eleventh anniversary of SEUM, the firm re-kindled the resolve it had when it was first established at this new start of another decade.

The firm celebrated its eleventh anniversary with custom-made macarons with SEUM’s logo and the phrase ‘11th anniversary’ placed on top, signifying that each of the firm’s personnel come together to form a single community.

The anniversary event also included an award session for three of the firm’s members who have diligently contributed to the firm for the past year. This year, the award went to Attorney Hangyu Moon, Attorney Junho Seo, and Principal Jaejo Kim of the litigation group. The winners received 2nd generation Air Pod Pros as gifts, in addition to warm congratulations from the other members of the firm.

Finally, the event proceeded with congratulatory remarks from Seungkyu Byun, partner and an original member of SEUM who has been with the firm since its inception. Mr. Byun said, “When I first joined the firm, I did not imagine that the firm would grow as much as it grew. I think we achieved tremendous growth because everyone gave their best efforts. Let us aim for greater growth by rekindling our initial passion, aiming for the next first year the next decade to come.” The event concluded with celebratory singing and a group photo.

SEUM has been accumulating much expertise in investment and M&A practices for startups, and has ventured further to provide legal service tailored to startups and IT companies, including transactional advisory work, representation in litigations, and providing tax advice.
