SEUM Law (hereinafter ‘SEUM’) was introduced as a boutique law firm specializing in startups and received the Special Jury Award at the 2nd DealSite IB Awards held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at the CCMM Building in Yeouido, Seoul. Out of a total of 17 award categories, three law firms were recognized: SEUM received the Special Jury Award, Kim & Chang received the M&A Legal Advisory Award, and Lee & Ko received the Best House Award(Link).

The DealSite IB Awards are based on the capital market league table and honor achievements across various categories, including ▲IPO ▲KONEX ▲Rights Offering ▲DCM ▲Mezzanine ▲M&A Financial Advisory ▲M&A Legal Advisory ▲Special Jury Award. These awards recognize the efforts of companies that have successfully raised funds and completed creative deals despite a challenging market environment.

DealSite highlighted SEUM, which is in its 12th year, as a law firm that specializes in startups and IT companies. It praised SEUM for “providing swift and efficient legal services according to the growth stages and scales of startups, thereby contributing to the growth of the domestic startup ecosystem.” DealSite also noted that “despite the dominance of large law firms in the M&A legal advisory market, SEUM made its presence felt by ranking 9th in the 2023 M&A Legal Advisory performance, placing within the top 10.”(Link)
