As Korea’s leading law firm in the area of startup and emerging companies, SEUM has created a Blockchain and Cryptocurrency team in order to better advise our clients regarding this rapidly growing field.  Our team is comprised of attorneys with a broad range of experience in areas such as technology, finance and corporate law, and we cover all of the various evolving aspects of the blockchain industry such as regulatory compliance, cryptocurrency trading, ICOs (initial coin offerings) and foreign exchange rules.

Our Blockchain team is led by our managing partner, Hoseok Jung, who has a wealth of experience in the startup & emerging company space, and includes various other attorneys with expertise in technology and finance, including US attorney partner Steve Ahn.  Moreover, many of our attorneys graduated from the prestigious Seoul Science High School and studied areas such as computer science and engineering at university, providing them the technical and academic background to better understand and advise on this constantly developing and technical industry.

SEUM’s Blockchain team currently holds monthly seminars on various topics related to this emerging industry that are open to the public, and we plan to have more “meet-up” opportunities such as information sessions, networking opportunities and other events going forward where individuals interested in learning about blockchain can come together.  In addition, as part of SEUM’s efforts to remain abreast of current blockchain issues, laws and regulations, we are developing a network with various law firms across Europe and Asia in order to provide our clients with a more comprehensive and global view for blockchain related matters.
